I.

Requirements for admission to professional undergraduate study Communication Management and professional undergraduate study Business Management

Enrollment in the first year of professional undergraduate studies at Bernays is achieved by applying to the enrollment open call, and all persons who have completed secondary school education lasting at least four years can apply.

Students who have completed secondary school, but have not yet passed the State Matura (secondary school leaving exam), must complete secondary school education by the last enrollment deadline to apply for the open call.

Possible enrollment methods:

A) Direct enrollment on the basis of passing the State Matura (without entrance exam)

Application for enrollment is made through the National Information System for Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU), which can be accessed at www.postani-student.hr.

B) Enrollment on the basis of the passed entrance exam (for candidates without State Matura, who graduated from secondary school before 2010)

The entrance exam score for candidates who do not have passed the State Matura is evaluated as follows:

1. Evaluation of secondary school grades 40%

2. Knowledge test in Croatian Language and General Culture 20%

3. English language test 15%

4. Motivational interview with candidate 25%

C) Transfer from another university to 1st year of study

By transferring from another higher education institution, applicants can enroll directly by providing a request, transcript of records and certified syllabi of the courses passed (curriculum).

D) Transfer to 2nd or 3rd year from a related study programme from another university

Bernays, with a request and a letter of motivation, can grant the interested person a transfer to 2nd or 3rd year from a related study programme conducted by another higher education institution.

Related study programmes are considered to be those programmes that, as obligatory courses, have related content and learning outcomes in accordance with the course syllabi.

For the Communication Management professional undergraduate study, these are study programmes in information and communication sciences, such as communication studies, public relations, journalism, media, and interdisciplinary studies that combine communication courses with economics (marketing and communications), market communication, etc.

For the Business Management professional undergraduate study programme, these are study programmes in the fields of economics, tourism and management.

The Committee for the Recognition of Exams and ECTS will precisely define the recognition of ECTS from another study programme and will issue a special Decision on Enrollment, which includes a list of specific differential exams that must be passed.

I.

Professional graduate studyPublic Relations Management

A condition for enrolling in our professional graduate study programmes is the completion of a professional or university undergraduate study programme or a degree equivalent to the professional title of "bachelor" (at least 180 ECTS).

Possible enrollment methods:

A) Direct enrollment for bachelors of study programmes in information and communication sciences, economics or political science.

B) The right to enroll is achieved by bachelor degree holders in other study programmes in social sciences, humanities or interdisciplinary sciences with the passing of differential exams up to the enrollment quota determined in the open call.

C) Candidates of study programmes in other scientific or artistic fields can apply for the open call if the quota is not met and with the fulfillment of at least two of the following conditions:
  • a grade point average of at least 3.60 in undergraduate or graduate studies;
  • passing the entrance exam for the graduate study programme on general knowledge, Croatian and English language;
  • they have recommendations from two teachers from their home or related institution;
  • they have been employed for at least five years, of which at least two years in the field of public relations, marketing, journalism or in management positions.

D) Transfer from another graduate study programme into the 1st year of study

By transferring from another higher education institution, applicants can enroll directly by providing a request, transcript of records and certified syllabi of the courses passed (curriculum).

E) Transfer to the 2nd year from a related study programme at another university

Bernays, on the basis of a request and a letter of motivation, can grant an interested person a transfer to the 2nd year from a related study programme conducted by another higher education institution. Related study programmes are considered to be those programmes that, as obligatory courses, have related content and learning outcomes in accordance with the course syllabi. These are study programmes in information and communication sciences, such as communication studies, public relations, journalism, media, or interdisciplinary studies that combine communication courses with economics (marketing and communications), market communication, etc. The Committee for the Recognition of Exams and ECTS will precisely define the recognition of ECTS from another study programme and will issue a special Decision on Enrollment, which includes a list of specific differential exams that must be passed.

F) Enrollment from another study programme completed outside the Republic of Croatia

For candidates who have completed the first cycle of higher education (Bachelor's Degree, 180 ECTS) outside Croatia, recognition of higher education qualifications and period of study is conducted for the purpose of continuing education (academic recognition and recognition of period of study).

Leadership and Management professional graduate study programme  

A condition for enrolling in our professional graduate study programmes is the completion of a professional or university undergraduate study programme or a degree equivalent to the professional title of "bachelor" (at least 180 ECTS).

Possible enrollment methods:

A) Direct enrollment of bachelor's from degree programmes in the field of economics.

B) Bachelors with degrees in information and communication sciences also have direct admission, with up to three differential courses.

C) Candidates of study programmes in other scientific or artistic fields can apply for the open call if the quota is not met and with the fulfillment of at least two of the following conditions:
  • a grade point average of at least 3.60 in undergraduate or graduate studies;
  • to pass the entrance exam for the graduate study programme in general knowledge, Croatian and English language;
  • they have recommendations from two teachers from their home or related institution;
  • they have been employed for at least five years, of which at least two years in the field of tourism, marketing, management, communication management or in managerial positions.

D) Transfer from another graduate study programme into the 1st year of study

By transferring from another higher education institution, applicants can enroll directly by providing a request, transcript of records and certified syllabi of the courses passed (curriculum).

E) Transfer to the 2nd year from a related study programme at another university

Bernays, with a request and a letter of motivation, can grant an interested person a transfer to the 2nd year from a related study programme conducted by another higher education institution.
